"I'm ecstatic that he's settling in so quickly. He’s significantly happier now then he’s been for a long time, and he’s actually participating in learning … it’s a miracle!!!"

Parent, July 2020

"Amazing progress! He used to be so violent and aggressive every day. Any other school would have given up. But you didn't, he can now control his emotions, he's now got friends."

Primary Creative Curriculum Themes

We use the Cornerstones Creative Curriculum throughout Key Stages 1 and 2. This makes learning more fun, and helps to motivate children and to reduce the barriers to learning. Each topic spans about half a term, and each academic subject is studied within the theme of the topic for that period; and topics such as “Misty Mountain”, “Paws, Claws and Whiskers” and “Darwin’s Delight” encourages students to use their imagination, to develop independent learning skills, and to develop teamwork.

The topics we are using for 2020/21 are shown below, by Class. Each topic will last for half a term.
